VL-e SP2.5 provides a science portal for distributed analysis in applied scientific research. The mission of the VL-e SP2.5 is to develop a working environment in which scientists can take advantage of the latest developments in the field of Grid technology. Scientists will be able to perform advanced research work in this environment using resources from a large number of organizations in a secure and relatively easy manner. Scientists will also be able to collaborate, share expertise and reuse each other's tools and shared resources. SP2.5 will integrate generic software components developed by other VL-e SPs.
